Seznámit se s fenoménem kvazi-dvouleté oscilace zonálních větrů v tropické stratosféře. Popsat poslední poznatky v oblasti teorie vzniku, průběhu a dopadů QBO. Dále na reálných datech, reanalyzovaných anebo modelových řadách demonstrovat průběh QBO.

Preliminary scope of work
Kvazi-dvouletá oscilace patří k nejvýraznějším fenoménům tropické stratosféry. Kvazi-pravidelná změna zonálních větrů v této oblasti ovlivňuje klimatické podmínky rozsáhlých oblastí celé atmosféry. Poslední poznatky v oblasti teorie vzniku a průběhu QBO jednoznačně poukazují na působení atmosférických vln.
Preliminary scope of work in English
Quasi-biennial oscillation is one of the most distinct phenomena in the tropical stratosphere. Regular change in the zonal winds in this region has a considerable influence on vast regions of the whole atmosphere. The latest findings in theory of the QBO origin and its progress point to affect of the atmospheric waves activity.
