Preliminary scope of work

Cílem práce bude na základě literární rešerše ukázat, 1/ jaké jsou specifické charakteristiky bylinných druhů vázaných na periodicky obnažované sedimenty podél říčních toků a šířících se podél těchto toků semeny a 2/ jak se podél toků mění variabilita populací vázaných na tyto náplavy (variabilita ve znacích rostlin a variabilita genetická) a čím lze tuto variabilitu vysvětlit. Odpovědi se v literatuře různí. Existují práce, které ukazují, že podél toků se po proudu variabilita populací postupně zvyšuje, ale jsou i práce, které ukazují, že pozice podél toku nemá na variabilitu žádný vliv, existují práce vysvětlující rozšíření druhů podél toků jejich nároky a vlastnostmi i práce, které ukazují, že toto není úplně podstatné. Které názory jsou ale převládající a dobře podpořené terénními výzkumy nebo experimenty?

Specifické otázky, na které by práce měla odpovědět:
1/ Které vlastnosti rostlin jsou specifické pro druhy vázané pouze na náplavy ve srovnání s druhy na náplavech běžně se vyskytujících, ale majících obecnější rozšíření a lze těmito vlastnostmi vysvětlit rozporuplnost různých studií?
1/ Lze vysvětlit variabilitu populací podél toků měnícími se podmínkami prostředí nebo pouze pozicí podél toku?
2/ Koreluje variabilita populací podél toku s jejich vzácností a vyhraněností vzhledem ke stanovišti?

Preliminary scope of work in English

Based on a literature review, the study will demonstrate 1/ what are the specific characteristics of herb species reproducing and spreading by seeds and occurring at periodically bared sediments along rivers and 2/ how the variability of populations occurring along the streams can changes (variability in species traits and variability genetic) and why. Opinions to the questions differ in different studies. Some studies suggest that the variability increases along the rivers, some studies suppose the position along the river does not affect the species variability. Some studies explain the distribution of the species along the streams by their traits, other suggests that the species traits are not so important but species pool of the surrounding landscape and position along the stream are important most. However, which of the opinions are those prevailing and supported by respectable studies?

Specific questions to be answered in the study:
1/ Which of the plant traits are specific for plants occurring only at the periodically bared sediments along the rivers?
2/ Is variability of populations along rivers given rather by changing environment conditions or due to position along the river?
2/ Does the variability of populations along the streams correlates with species rareness and specific demands to the environment?
