Guidelines

Ve své práci se zaměřím na srovnání olympských a chthonických aspektů v mýtu a kultu boha Asklépia v období klasického Řecka. Východiskem mi bude diskuse o rozlišení právě mezi olympským a chthonickým. Budu se snažit ozřejmit, co pro několik vybraných badatelů tyto termíny představují a k jakým důsledkům vede jejich pečlivá aplikace. Dále se pokusím ukázat, jak lze tuto dichotomii aplikovat na mýtus a kult boha Asklépia. Budu se věnovat Asklépiovým božským, olympským aspektům, i jeho vlastnostem hérójským, řadícím se do sféry chthonického. Následně se budu na konkrétním příkladu kultického uctívání Asklépia zabývat otázkou, zda je udržování ostré dichotomie mezi olympským a chthonickým udržitelné a hlavně, zda je nějakým způsobem přínosné k intepretaci této božské postavy.
