Guidelines
The student will familiarize herself with the Lorentz-violating models known as Noncommutative Field Theory and Standard Model Extension by performing a preliminary computation of the Noether currents for the Noncommutative Maxwell Theory. The following step will consist in the generalization of those results to a generic Lorentz-violating theory in the hope to clarify the nature of the so-called `particle` and `observer` transformations in general. Once this is done the Noether Supercharges for the Lorentz-violating extension of the Wess-Zumino theory can be computed and studied.

Preliminary scope of work
These are days of a profound rethinking of sacred symmetries such as Lorentz and CPT. The motivations of such research activity are theoretical in origins but experiments are proposed and carried on in many settings. For this project we would like to investigate the effects of the modification/violation of Lorentz invariance on supersymmetry.
