Guidelines
Major objectives:
- description of principal characteristics of the middle atmosphere, related dynamics and chemistry processes
- investigation of the atmospheric wave signatures and the nature of the wave phenomena, their effects and link to large scale processes
- identification and characterization of the processes coupling polar atmosphere, middle latitudes and tropics, investigation and description of the processes that couple regions at various altitudes
- adaptation and utilization of a GCM with included stratospheric region, investigation of the studied processes through the model experiments
- investigation of recent and potential future changes with focus on increasing greenhouse gases concentration in the troposphere and its impact on related dynamics, large scale circulation and coupling processes
